The Kindle Wifi is among the latest generation of Amazon Kindles. They are available for a lower price than other models because they use Wifi as the single method of connecting to the Amazon Kindle Store. This means that ebooks can only be downloaded when connected to an available wifi signal.
A used Kindle Wifi is a great choice if mobile broadband connections (commonly referred to as 3G by Amazon) are unavailable. Even if 3G is available, if you're normally around a wifi connection, you can save some money by going with this less expensive version.
